What is the best roof to put on an existing ranch house on the north shore of Long Island, NY? Brand? Plywood or OSB?

Answer: 

OSB is fine, and may save an old growth tree. As for roofing, I would pick anything but wood shake. How about a standing seam metal roof? I love the one on my cabin. George
